In Relation With

Co-curated group exhibition / 2024 / Göteborg

In Relation With was a group exhibition co-curated collectively by PhD students at HDK Valand and held at Pony Books, Tunnbindaregatan 19, Göteborg, as part of GIBCA Extended.

The exhibition brought together six artistic practices engaging with relationality — between bodies, materials, landscapes, and collective memory.

The exhibition closing on 9 November 2024 featured a programme of live activations:

• Chaga tea ceremony with Susanne Ewerlöf • Listening session with Maria Karpushina and Monika Gabriela Dorniak • Film screening with Nika Grigorian

As a follow-up, on 15 November 2024, we organised a Collective Walk & Activation in Färjenäs Forest Garden, inviting participants to engage with the surrounding landscape through collective movement and embodied encounter.

In Relation With emerged from a shared interest in how artistic practices create spaces of relation — where the personal meets the communal, and where situated knowledges unfold through dialogue, sensory engagement, and co-curatorial experimentation.
